Some of Florida's Gems are Boutique Inns
August 30, 2016
Planning a road trip this weekend? We have been scouting the state for the best boutique inns for your road trip destination. Here we are featuring two of our nominees with more to come next issue. Enjoy!
Our two hotel choices are a bit different, not a faceless chain or bland corridors which lead you to a room which could easily be anywhere. We selected these because they are unique, boutique and independent.
What makes these boutique hotels so special? A high standard of service, luxury and beauty with some unforgettable special touches, ideal beach locations and all within a weekend getaway reach of Orlando.
The hotel in South Florida that made the cut is Washington Park Hotel in Miami’s famed South Beach. This centrally located 4-star property is in the heart of all the action at South Beach. The hotel is easy walking distance to restaurants, nightclubs, bars, and shopping. It’s also a good example of art deco architecture that South Beach is known for. WPH offers complimentary breakfast and transportation -- Tuk Tuk shuttle and Martone bikes to further the appeal of this boutique inn. If you’re looking for food and shopping, don’t miss our South Beach article on page 10.
To learn more or make reservations at Washington Park Hotel: 1050 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139 Phone: (305) 421-6265.
Now our second hidden gem is just an hour’s drive from Orlando. Located in New Smyrna Beach, this town offers a lovely drive-on Atlantic coast beach and you’re only steps away from the Indian River when you stay at The Black Dolphin Inn. This historic inn has a connection to the outdoors with ocean breezes and seemingly endless water views. The inn is a Spanish Isle-inspired historic estate which features 14 guest rooms and suites. The inn even has its own private dock to fish or watch dolphins from.
We selected this B&B because of what makes it truly “boutique”: a prime address that still feels removed from the tourist grid, with an air of sophistication, a unique personality, and first-class customer service.
To learn more or make reservations at The Black Dolphin Inn:
916 S Riverside Drive, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168

Your Vacation, Your Way
June 24, 2016
MORE SPACE, MORE PRIVACY, NO COMPROMISES
The trend toward staying in vacation rentals feels like a very 21st-century behavior -- but like a lot of things, the truth is that it is better than you imagined.
It’s easier than ever to book a vacation home rental. Once you have successfully booked your stay with a vacation rental company such as Reunion Vacation Homes, you can communicate with the property manager about things such as maps, directions to restaurants, shopping, attractions and more.
Reunion Vacation Homes is an established vacation rental property management company that manages over 150 properties in several high-end resorts south of Orlando near Walt Disney World. From marketing and booking the rentals to maintenance and house keeping, Reunion Vacation Homes ensure that the property owners reap the benefits from their service while relaxing with a peace of mind, knowing everything is taken care of. They have the expertise, experience and high standard it takes to successfully gratify both property owners and guests, making sure the experience exceeds expectations.
At Reunion Vacation Homes, they are very aware of why their guests choose to book a vacation rental property rather than booking into a hotel room, and their aim is to ensure that each guest gets the full benefit from their wise decision. Reunion Vacation Homes takes full advantage of what they have to offer that a hotel does not.
Many glorious homes await you that are beautifully decorated. Some are 4+ bedrooms with expansive living spaces and pools. For more information on how to rent a luxury vacation home, please contact:
