It’s with a grateful heart that I welcome you to FOUR Magazine.  William and I live here in ChampionsGate, Florida, and started FOUR Magazine in early 2016.

Being an entrepreneur at heart, I saw a need for a local magazine that focused on local people, businesses, restaurants and destinations -- a magazine that blends both the needs of our tourists and those of us living here.  It’s truly only because my brave and bold husband pushed me to pursue my dream of starting FOUR Magazine that it's a reality.

 

Fast forward a couple of months, and here we are!  The launch of our sister publication, FOUR Weddings Magazine, is about to happen. 

 

When I got married to William last year, I could only find big national magazines but nothing that was published locally by local people.  And my dream wedding date (July 13th -- more on that later!) was in a few weeks... with nothing planned!

 

Although this wasn't my first wedding,  I still had many of the same needs as other brides -- a dress, a destination, a photographer, a reception and a honeymoon.   I had to navigate every wedding planning detail, both big and small, by just using the internet.

 

I learned a few lessons the hard way planning my own wedding (hint: make sure you have a back-up plan for Florida thunderstorms in July!). Combine a whirlwind engagement, my perfect wedding date quickly approaching and a couple that's getting married who's not in their 20's anymore and forget it – there was simply no resource with the insight I needed to help me plan.

Even though our little intimate beach wedding was a blast, William and I realized better resources would have made planning our nuptials a lot less stressful. So the seed was planted to launch a sister publication once FOUR Magazine was successful.  

 

In less than a year after FOUR Magazine started, I am happy to announce the launch of FOUR Weddings.  We have vowed to make this a local wedding publication for couples getting married along Florida's I-4 corridor.  FOUR Weddings promises to bring local small businesses in touch with our local couples.

 

I have a lot to be thankful for -- I got my dream wedding date of July 13 (yes, 13 is my lucky number) and I am living the dream of being able to bring meaningful stories and resources to this part of our beautiful state of Florida.  

 

We look forward to helping Florida couples plan amazing, memorable weddings in 2017 through FOUR Weddings.  And we can't wait to bring you more real local stories through our FOUR Magazine.  We love and appreciate all of you.
